Whatever the reason for making a greeting card, it is always an excellent opportunity to explore the skills and techniques of the pop-up, tapping in to mathematical concepts of angle, shape, direction, and most significantly symmetry and asymmetry, as it does. Lots of opportunity will be given for individualized designs after an initial trial pop-up has been made and understood.
