Workshop Cost $55
Martin Luther King Jr. is the only person in America,
other than past Presidents, to have been honored with a
National Holiday. His famous speech entitled “I Have a
Dream” was delivered August 28, 1963. During his
speech he repeated the title phrase several times, each
time building the intensity of his message. He spent days
working on it, agonizing over every paragraph, sentence,
and punctuation mark, in order to convey his dream of
the future just as he envisioned it. In this class your students will create their own poem to reflect the world as they dream the future to be.
