Egyptian art is immediately recognizable to even the
most untrained eye. The head is looking to the side with
the whole eye staring out. The body and legs are in
profile, but the torso is turned fully to the front, making the figure's body appear uncomfortably twisted. The gods, including the pharaoh and other important figures are depicted much larger in size than everyone else. Over the course of 3000 years, the most remarkable feature of Egyptian art is the lack of change. In this class students will discuss change as they paint in a timeless
manor.
